Snowdon – Black Wax Calf
Snowdon is a robust derby boot for men from Crockett & Jones, designed for autumn, winter, and more demanding conditions. The model combines black waxed leather with a heavy-duty Commando sole, providing a durable and functional aesthetic with a distinct British country character.
The shoe is built on the 228 last, a generous and comfortable last originally developed for country walking boots. The spacious toe shape offers great comfort and makes the Snowdon well-suited for long days and thicker socks.
The waxed leather is durable and will develop a unique patina over time. Together with the high-grip Commando sole, this makes the model particularly suitable for varying weather, walks, travel, and everyday use during the colder months of the year.
The Snowdon is crafted using Veldtschoen construction in Northampton, England. This construction is designed to provide extra protection against moisture and harsh weather while retaining the stability, durability, and repairability that characterize traditional welted footwear.
