In the heart of Northampton, Crockett & Jones has been making shoes since 1879. A family business shaped by generations of shoemaking, where classic design meets carefully selected materials and an uncompromising approach to quality.
Crockett & Jones was founded in 1879 by James Crockett and Charles Jones in Northampton, a town with a centuries-old tradition of shoemaking.
The business grew quickly and moved to its factory on Magee Street in 1891, where Crockett & Jones continues to manufacture its footwear today. The company remains family-owned and managed by descendants of the founding family.
Much has evolved since those early years, but the foundations remain the same: skilled craftsmanship, carefully selected materials and Goodyear-welted construction created for strength, comfort and longevity.
A pair of Crockett & Jones shoes passes through many skilled hands before leaving the factory. From cutting and stitching to construction and finishing, every stage draws on craftsmanship refined over generations.

De olika delarna formas och monteras kring lästen, vilket skapar den struktur som ger skon dess form, stabilitet och långvariga hållbarhet.
In the final stages, each shoe is worked by hand to bring out the colour, depth and character of the leather before leaving the Northampton factory.
Shell Cordovan is known for its dense structure, deep lustre and the way it develops character over time. Rather than forming the fine creases often seen in calf leather, Cordovan develops softer rolls and a distinctive patina with wear.
Crockett & Jones uses Shell Cordovan from the Horween Leather Company in Chicago for selected styles, from classic loafers and Derbys to substantial boots.
To celebrate Hammargruppen's 40th anniversary, Crockett & Jones created a limited Shell Cordovan collection marking four decades of craftsmanship, quality and a long-standing partnership.
The collection brings together four Crockett & Jones styles in Shell Cordovan: Islay, Pembroke, Boston and Connaught 2.
Only ten pairs of each style were made. Every pair is individually numbered and created especially for Hammargruppen – forty pairs for forty years.
